Katooine 3 continues with the Katooine theme, this time with no green goo of death. Awwww! All game modes are supported!
While the map may seem large initially, it actually seems to scale quite well so far. I have tested it 2v2, and had it in pub play with as few as 3v3, and as many as 7v7 so far. It plays very quickly, oddly enough. With very few places to truly be able to stand and not be paranoid, 360 degree awareness is a must. The mor epeople, the more difficult things become, since sniping is beyond abundant. However, no sniping position is safe... in fact, FARRR from it! Please, appreciate this to the fullest, and enjoy the pure pleasure of coming up behind the temporarily happy sniper, and slide a knife slowly and deeply into their body. Ahhh... mmmm... refreshing, yes?
There is a lower section, and it is fast, and very much a sniping lane. While it is easy to move VERY quickly, the constant worry of being shot in the back is all too real. The lower section is accessible from the middle towers, as well as the halls behind the flag areas, and finally via a drop chute from each spawn. Do not worry, safe landings! WHich leads me to other safe mandings. All of the ladders are "fast ladders". Basically, like most of my maps, I made tiny, itty-bitty stairs, so thin that they only take up the same space as most ladders would. The ground at the bottom of any ladder is safe, as is the ground in the underground section, and... all of the sand! Yes, jump from any height to any bit of sand, and POOF! Soft landing. MMmmmmm! Use the angles of various bits of landscape and architecture for very fast movement. But, beware! Come in too hot on the cement areas, and SPLAT!
Finally, you will notice that the CTF/CAH spawns are on your left, while your flag is on the right. Keep this in mind when trying to bring the flag back to your sid eof the map. An enemy respawning will have your clockwise returning path available to cut you down.
